Art Curricular Objectives

“Every Westwoodian to be visually-literate and to appreciate Art.”

The Art Department seeks to nurture every pupil to be visually-literate and appreciative of the visual art forms. At Westwood Primary, we believe that Art is important in the holistic development of a child.  Each child is a unique individual that sees, expresses and appreciates things differently.  By teaching every pupil important Art concepts and skills, we are laying a strong foundation for a child’s creative development to become a flourishing individual.
