Music Curricular Objectives

 

“Every Westwoodian to develop an appreciation for Music and creative expression through Music.”

 

The Westwood Music Department seeks to have every child develop an appreciation for music. The curriculum and programmes allow for creative expression. The Performing Arts Curriculum is partly teacher-led and vendor-led for greater exposure with the aim that pupils will develop a love for the different forms of music and dance. The Music Lessons are conducted 1-hour weekly.

P5: 1.5 hour-weekly lessons based on the Primary Music Syllabus (Semester 2)

Pre-Assembly Programme (PRAM)

Introduction of Classical Music & other genres; showcasing of pupils’ talents.
